-From the creative minds behind Alberta's Virtual Terrorist comes a new side-project that sees the lads move into Witch House territory. Their debut album is set to release in May and is sure to turn some heads.

Angel Of Violence
-Angel of Violence is finalizing works on the follow up on the in 2011 released Circuit Board Messiah called 'Strength of Scarring'. Set to release in the fall of 2013! Building up to that release, they're also releasing a brand new EP in May titled 'Strength of Infliction'.

With 2013 well underway and a host of released material in January, it’s now time to look toward the future. After reading this edition of the CRL Newsletter you’ll be thoroughly briefed and, hopefully, looking forward to the things CRL Studios has got in store for its fans! VISCERA DRIP ANNOUNCES TWO NEW RELEASES
Following the in 2012 released of dark EBM masterpiece Sociopath, Viscera Drip is working on 2 new releases that sees him build on his established sound. Coming to you this summer.

NEW ANGEL OF VIOLENCE ALBUM IN THE WORKS
The brutal combo of Lucidstatic and Sumibraxis continue their takeover of the industrial scene with the follow up to the Sore EP . Strength of Scarring, the next chapter in their sonic onslaught will be released this spring.

APHELION FULL-LENGTH ALBUM
Aphelion delivers his debut album L’Appel du Vide, the follow-up to his debut EP Aonarach this summer and sees him adding to the sound that turned heads in January.

LUCIDSTATIC TO RELEASE REMIX ALBUM AND COLLABORATIVE ALBUM
James Church is moving forward at an incredibly high speed, and he shows no sign of slowing down any time soon. The spring of 2013 will see two releases by Church and friends. The first one being a remix album of previously released tracks, the second one being a collaborative effort between him and CRL Studios label mate The Plastic Eulogy.

MAKINA AND IAMMYNEWT TO RELEASE COLLABORATIVE EFFORT
Makina and iammynewt have shown to be capable enough on their own, releasing their music to a hungry fanbase and revieving critical acclaim. It was only a matter of time before they teamed up for a release that is sure to combine the best of both worlds into a release that will leave no stone unturned, and will destroy everything in its wake. Set for release this spring.

ANNOUNCING THE 4^th WAVELENGTH COMPILATION
After the success of the previous incarnations of CRL Studios’ own inhouse compilation, we are glad to announce that the 4^th Wavelength compilation is set for a tentative release in June. More info soon.

PSYKKLE AND TOOTHGNASHER LIVE
After a string of live performances in front of hordes of enthusiastic crowds we are proud to announce that Psykkle will be performing at the Terminus festival in Calgary, Canada along with the likes of Faderhead, XP8 and Assemblage 23 that is held from 28^th till the 30^th of June.

ENTER: GHEISTS
Gheists represents an alter ego form for Bee Teknofiend, normally a producer of high energy Techno, Several years in the making, multiple names, and a whole lot of indecision have finally brought this project into fruition. Influenced by early Trip Hop, Witch House and Chillwave, the music aims to be a challenge to one's self. This isn't a quest for enlightenment or a credibility struggle as an artist. It's a portrayal of bad dreams, lost hope and the struggle to stay afloat.

ENTER: MESSAGE TO THE MACHINE
Violent sounds are the name of the game when it comes to Message To The Machine. Hidden within the noise, calm and gentle melodic moments linger, acting like the eye of a storm. Conceived in 2009 by James Orez, influenced by Metal and Alternative music MTTM, slowly came into being. One could say that Message To The Machine is a culmination of frustration and disappointment due to an increased lack of care being generated in today's world. From raw in your face sounds to ethereal echoes in the distance, the purpose defined by James Orez for Message To The Machine is to connect with people through music. The sounds are derived from a huge addiction to manipulating synthesis parameters and mangling found samples into a cohesive engine within the machine.

The roster of CRL continues to grow with new additions: Tineidae, Scrap Grinder and more! Tineidae has been a collaborator and friend of CRL submitting remixes for Lucidstatic, delivering incredible tracks for the Wavelength compilations and has recently released a critically acclaimed album on Tympanik Audio. Scrap Grinder is a collaborative project between Don Hill of Millipede (Hymen) and Josh Pyle of Aphorism (Tympanik Audio). This project delivers an incredible blend of harsh noise meets IDM with industrial elements. More details on releases from both these projects coming soon!

Lucidstatic is currently working on 3 releases which will include an album of cover songs, a collection of remixes of material from Tx Side Effects and Symbiont Underground, and his next full length tentatively titled 'The Hunger'. Release date for 'Fatalist' is set for a fall release on Signifier. The collection of cover songs so far includes covers of Megadeth, David Bowie and Guns N Roses! Release date TBA. The collection of remixes is set for a spring 2013 release and is titled ‘Take Your Medicine’. It features remixes from the CRL roster amongst such artists as Xotox,  Access To Arasaka, R.roo and ?AIMON!

Makina has released a full length album, ‘Collision’ which features guests from the CRL roster including: Psykkle, Sleepless, Glue On Smile and more! Check it out!

Angel of Violence is working on the beginning of recording for their third full length album set for release next year. More details soon.

Virtual Terrorist has the re-release of 'Cyber Punks Unite' on CRL. The new addition features a bonus of a new collaboration track with Lucidstatic and revised art by Rob Lioy.  October for CRL means a tsunami of new music! This includes the full length releases from Cryogenic Echelon, Tokee and Viscera Drip. It also includes a single from Dyskhord and a debut EP from Sleepless!

The coming months will also see the first releases on CRL from Scrap Grinder, Iammynewt, Glue On Smile,  Cloud Roots, K-not and Lithia!

Lucidstatic is currently preparing for release of his second installment of Surgical Theatre which will be a free release of unreleased remixes. It will feature remixes of artists such as: Caustic, Machinecorpse, Angelspit, R.roo, Polyfuse, Mortiis and more. The release will also feature art by Access To Arasaka. Recent news from CRL includes the additions of long time collaborators and friends, The Plastic Eulogy and Nereus joining the roster along side Cryogenic Echelon and Sleepless from Autralia, and Tokee from Russia. This foreshadows a year of musical mayhem and an incredible statrt for CRL Studios!

Today we released the newest masterpiece from Löw, Nunc Scio. The album is 14 songs of beautiful atmospheric IDM with a heavy world influence. The release comes with a pdf of photos and poems. Mastering by Adriano Machado (ZandoZ Corp) with art aid by Rob of Access To Arasaka! Get your copy today!

The current release schedule is packed with four releases per month! This schedule includes the upcoming physical release of The Harmony by Alaska’s own, Dyskhord.

Also Pandora's Black Book has a physical release coming July 16th from Raumklang Records. This is Pandora's Black Book's fourth full length release, Divergent! The album includes appearances by Dyskhord, Erode and Tineidae.

Recently Viscera Drip has been acquiring notice with his recent appearance on Tactical Beats Vol. 1. The compilation can be found HERE. This will hopefully sate the appetities of EBM and industrial fans.

In the Psykkle camp there has recently been a change in band line up including the loss of Sabine from the project, For more info go HERE:

This has not slowed Psykkle down one bit! He is currently working on finalizing the release of his side project, Serenity Cell for it’s debut next month on CRL and is also working on his full length, Mother Monoxide and a single for release here later this year.

After the success of The Third Wavelength there is another compilation in the works tentatively titled: While You were out which will feature a range of genres from breakcore to ambient to idm. Stay tuned for more details.

It's about that time again, everyone. CRL Studios is bringing you the third installment of our Wavelength compilations.

This will be a three part compilation, split into Life, Motion, and Death. Each part will have 23 songs and include a copy of all the promotional art and banners. A grand total of 69 songs. And, regrettably, we had to cut about the same number from the total submissions. The response from artists was incredible, and we feel honored and humbled that so many were interested in being a part of this.

: CRL Studios has released the follow up to December's First Wavelength compilation with double the volume. The Second Wavelength is 2 albums (Light and Dark), each with 23 songs, totalling a tracklist of 46 songs and over 3 hours of brilliant music.The compilation includes musicians from Ant Zen, Tympanik Audio, Crunchpod, Signifier,DSBP and more. This compilation is a free/donation based digital release with incredible art by Low and mastering aid by Dope Records' Tokee.

James and Robert systematically streamlined the site over the last couple months to minimize clutter, speed up load times and present a more professional image for the site. : Lucidstatic - Surgical Theatre will be a collection of remixes from the last couple years. This will include some of my favorites that never found a home and also a few that never have been heard by the public. Remixes of artists such as Celldweller, TaAvah, Autoclav 1.1, Malacay, Mangadrive, Human Error and more.
: Pandora's Black Book is also compiling a free download release of bsides, alternate versions, and unreleased material. This will include remixes by Human Error, Mono Penguin and Haxx Frequency to name a few.
: Angel of Violence is searching for a label to release their first album, Assault and Bathory. In the meantime, they have done remixes for 16 Volt and C/A/T. Sumbraxis has also aided in additional synth work to some of the upcoming Lucidstatic material and is working hard on a side project. More details to follow.
: Also, there is currently talk around the campfire of the compiling of a 2010 CRL Sampler. This will hopefully include new material by Lucidstatic, Komamusique, Angel of Violence, Pandora's Black Book and Static Logic. More details soon.

Happy New Years to all the fans and friends of CRL Studios' musical projects: Lucidstatic, Ironworm/Komamusique, Angel of Violence, DownstroyD, 1nitial_li3z, XY Theory, DTL, and Pandora's Black Book. In 2010, we have a lot of upcoming releases from our music end of the operations and maybe a few suprises from the CRL gang. The website is being updated with Status update widgets from myspace for a few of the bands to allow the fans to know what the artists are up to. There will also be Reverb Nation widgets to enable music on the site without bogging down the upload. These new additions may have a few glitches to begin with but hopefully I can figure it out.

Also via the help of other musicians in the scene, we at CRL can now ship once again on a global level but we will also try to get the old releases from Lucidstatic and Pandora's Black Book set up for digital sales at a low price. this way you can enjoy the old favorites from Air Filter and Becoming.

In recent news, James Church has been brought on to Connexion Bizarre as a staff writer doing reviews and interviews and is in the process of compiling a new compilation for the site titled: You Are Here: A Compilation of Alaskan Electronics. The compilation will hopefully be out in the spring and will include unreleased material from both Lucidstatic, DownstroyD, Ironworm/Komamusique, and Pandora's Black Book . : Lucidstatic is finalizing the upcoming Dreamcatcher album for release by Crazy Language net label and has been collecting remixes of Gravedigger songs for the upcoming digital release from Tympanik Audio, titled Unearthed. Unearthed will have new incredible artwork by our friend Tom of Human Error and has had such names as Tapage, SE, Worms of the Earth, Unterm Rad, Randomform and more submitting mixes. He also won a slot on the upcoming release from Shellshock and recieved 2 new reviews of Gravedigger from Grave Concerns Ezine and Axess Code.
: The upcoming release from Pandora's Black Book, Black Brothel, is slated for release on May 25th from Tympanik Audio along with Pandora recieving a slot on the Tympanik Sampler, Approach Lights 2009.
